Jewels of Mongolia (10 days / 9 nights)
The focus of this trip is spending less time crossing the vast landscape of Mongolia by jeep, and more time trekking off the beaten track immersed in the landscape and this trip gives you a chance to enjoy amazing Gobi Desert, and traveling with pristine Khuvsgul Lake. We enable you to make a strong and personal connection with the locals and learn about life through the eyes of the nomad. Travelling with us will be a small caravan of local horsemen and their horses and camels that will be taking our luggage and equipment.
DETAILED TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1 Ulaanbaatar (City tour)
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar the capital of Mongolia. Depending on time of arrival and transfer to hotel and after breakfast you will enjoy city tour including: Gandan monastery and visit to the biggest square Sukhbaatar which is located in the center point of Ulaanbaatar. Have lunch in Mongolian Traditional restaurant. After that, visit to Natural History Museum which is famous for its authentic dinosaur skeletons and fossils (Bogd khan palace museum) and visit Zaisan memorial hill to view of whole city from there. Welcome dinner at restaurant and stay overnight in ****hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 2 Ulaanbaatar to Khuvsgul Lake (Murun province)
In the morning, fly to the capital of Khuvsgul province Murun. The flight takes one and a half hours. Drive to Khuvsgul national park. Transfer to the camp and lunch. Visit with yak breeding family. Stay overnight in ger at the tourist camp. (B, L, D)
Day 3 Discover Khuvsgul National park
During whole lovely day, you have an opportunity to ride reindeer and observe them. Kayak trip on the lake. Khuvsgul Lake is reckoned among the purest fresh water lakes in the world. Its surroundings right out of a fairytale. Khuvsgul Lake is the second deepest lake in Central Asia and contains 60% as much water as Lake Baikal. Depth of Khuvsgul Lake is 262 meters and 136 kilometers long. Stay overnight in ger at the tourist camp. (B, L, D)
Day 4 Flight back to Ulaanbaatar and day trip to Terelj National Park & statue of Chinggis Khan
Following an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred back to the Murun Airport. We bid farewell to our drivers and fly to Ulaanbaatar where we meet our local transport for a 90-minute drive to Gorkhi Terelj National Park. This unforgettable excursion will take you to features such as scenic valleys, a winding river, and restful groves of trees. Many nomads live in the park itself, where they find lush land for their animals, and you may even see majestic herds of yak grazing near the camp. Once inside the park you will be able to visit the notable rock formations "Turtle rock" and “Monk reading a book." You will also have the opportunity to hike up to the Aryabal meditation center and learn more about Mongolian Buddhism.
On the way to the national park, you will take a detour to visit the giant Statue of Chinggis Khan which stands 40m (132 ft) high. The monument is about 33 miles east of Ulaanbaatar and stands at the point where, according to legend, he found a golden whip. The statue is symbolically pointed east, towards his birthplace. It is on top of the Chinggis Khan Statue Complex, a visitor center, itself 10 meters (32 ft 10 in) tall, with 36 columns representing the 36 khans from Genghis to Ligdan Khan. It was designed by sculptor D. Erdenebileg and architect J. Enkhjargal and erected in 2008.
In the afternoon we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the hotel.

Day 5 Fly to South Gobi, Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs)
After breakfast fly to the South Gobi. The flight takes one and a half hours. Drive to Bayanzag which is located 20 kilometers far from Bulgan soum, where 70 million years ago a lot of Paleontological findings have been discovered. The place is known as Flaming Cliffs so named by Roy Chapman Andrews American explorer who had visited Mongolia in 1922. During two years he searched through the Mongolian Gobi Desert and he found dinosaur fossils and dinosaur eggs about 10-15 cm from the Bayanzag for the first time in the world. Visiting and exploring native land of dinosaurs and taking some photos for beautiful surroundings. Stay overnight in ger at the tourist camp. (B, L, D)
Day 6 Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs) to Khongor sand dunes (Singing sand dune)
Today we will drive to Khongorinn Els sand dunes, the largest sand dunes in Mongolia. These dunes lie in the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park. The drive is through some incredible desert scenery with flat, stony plains; outcrops of vegetation; hills of interesting rock formations; and herds of wild antelope racing across the plains. The roads are flat and fairly even so it will take at least 4 hours. The shifting sand blown by the wind or someone makes sound so it is called Singing Sand Dunes. Stay overnight in ger at tourist camp. (B, L, D)
Day 7 Khongor sand dunes
Today we will have a full day exploring the sand dunes and rest after the long drive. The dunes seem to stretch on forever like a soft ribbon of sand draped over the desert. The shifting sand blown by the wind or someone makes sound so it is called Singing Sand Dunes. There is a beautiful green oasis known as Seruun bulag near the Khongor River. Return to the camp for lunch and enjoy feeling silence and a peaceful in the beautiful surroundings Gobi Deserts. Dinner and stay overnight in ger at tourist camp. (B, L, D)
Day 8 Khongor sand dunes (Singing sand dune) to Yol Canyon
We will drive through the National Park until we reach an area of the Altai Mountains known as Eagle Valley. This is approximately a 240km drive on fairly good roads taking about 6 hours. This Valley is nestled deep within the hills and is a haven from the desert heat. Some areas of the valley are continually sheltered from the hot sun and house huge, blocks of ice that gradually melt away during the summer. Very wide at the entrance, it narrows gradually into a remarkable gorge. You have some chance to see wild animals such as ibex and wild sheep, of course to see the vulture. Riding a horse or a camel and trekking to the gorge. Stay overnight in ger at tourist camp. (B, L, D)
Day 9 Yol Canyon to Ulaanbaatar
Drive to airport after breakfast. Take a flight back to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the hotel and lunch at the finest restaurant in Ulaanbaatar. In the afternoon free time do shopping for cashmere shop, souvenir shop and State Department Store. Enjoy watch national folklore performance by “Tumen Ekh” national song, throat singing, tsam mask dance and so on. A farewell dinner and stay overnight in hotel.
Day 10 Departure
Check out from the hotel and transfer to the “Chinggis Khan” International airport for departure.
